Skittles Chromatography

Aim: To separate the colours using chromatography

Materials:

  • Petrie Dish
  • Skittles
  • Water 
Steps:
  1. Put the Skittles in a circle spread around the petrie dish
  2. Add water to the dish
  3. watch the colours spread
  4. take photos
when the skittles lost its colour it spread out and then it did not mix with the other colours it stopped losing its colour, we should have waited for the skittles to 
lose their colour more before we touched it

Chromatography experiment

Aim: To separate the colours using chromatography


Materials:
  • Cup
  • Felt
  • Paper
  • Water 
Steps:
  1. put three dots of felt on a paper and a black line under 
  2. Put water in a cup
  3. Watch the colours rise in the cup
  4. take photos for your blog
Reflection: we should have added more colours or made it
bolder and lower to the water and waited for the colour to rise.

Vinegar and Baking soda Experiment

  


In Science Mr Palmer did a Vinegar and baking soda experiment to see what the reaction would be to the differences if we added vinegar first what would happen and if we added baking soda so first he added the baking soda and it did explode but only a little bit, and when he added baking soda first the reaction was really good and it was way better

So next time you should have added which ever one did better then the 2 that he did. so I would of picked the second one :)

Salt and Water Science?

In science we where learning about a salt and water experiment and how much salt we would need to use until the water would not freeze and we had to draw a diagram with the 6 steps on a paper

Statistics 2.0

In maths today we did more statistics but we had to do a different graph and I did 7tz's favourite movie
