Experiment 2: Red Cabbage Indicator

When we were doing the experiment the aim was to get the cabbage juice to make an indicator using house hold items.
We used 100ml of cabbage and 50ml of water then we boiled the cabbage with a Bunsen burner until the the water turned purple then we put it into little test tubes we put different types of house hold items

Then I changed colours depending on what you put in If you put in base it wold turn green or greenish Blue if it turned pink or purple you would have used something like an acid.

For different colours their are different household items

This is my Kete choice activity that I have chosen to do for our business inter prize kete it is about businesses in Christchurch

Hokey Pokey

So far we made hokey pokey and first we needed to learn the safety rules about the Burner and tripod when we made it we had to take turns making the hokey pokey. Some peoples hokey pokey turn runny and sticky and other peoples turned hard and crunchy

My Maths

This week we have been working with Decimals, Percentages and Fractions we have been trying to figure out how to convert them.

Fo Guang Shan Temple Visit

The 22nd of May the year 7 and 8 classes of HHS (Hornby High School) got to go on a trip to the Fo Guang Shan Temple I was a really cool temple. We went to the man talked to us about the 3G4G he told us that it means 3 good deeds and 4 Giving. Then we walk into a room and a lady talked to us about the Buddha after the talk we made a special flower called the lotus flower.
My favourite part in the temple was when we watched a little video on how the Buddha became wise and tried to share all the 3G and 4G with everyone.

Dear future me

In philosophy this term we are making time capsules and we wrote a letter about now and in the future with thing about me like who are our friends, the price of stuff, What we like to do, our favourite sites and stuff, favourite singers movies games and sport.

I can not wait to be reading this in year 13 when I am 17 years old
